YOU.PRJCT ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by The Schertzinger Company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the YOU.PRJCT mobile application ("App").

YOU.PRJCT is a personal excellence platform that primarily serves young athletes aged 13–18. Because our users include minors, we take special care with data collection, storage, and visibility. We are committed to protecting the privacy and safety of all users.

By using YOU.PRJCT, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

• Name, email address, and username
• Profile photo (optional)
• Authentication provider (Apple, Google, or email)

2.2 Usage & Activity Data

• Training sessions, workout logs, and exercise data
• Goals, daily tasks, and task completion status
• Daily wins, streaks, and win rate
• Challenge participation and progress
• Time blocks and calendar entries
• Morning and evening routines and completion status
• Books, reading sessions, and reading time
• Personal motto and vision board images

2.3 Device Information

• Device type and operating system version (for compatibility and performance)
• Push notification token (for delivering notifications)

2.4 Information We Do NOT Collect

• Location data
• Contacts or address book data
• Health data from device sensors (Apple Health, Google Fit)
• Biometric data
• Advertising identifiers
• Third-party behavioral tracking data

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and personalize the App experience
• To display your profile to friends and teammates on the platform
• To show coaches effort-level data when you join a team (see Section 4)
• To process subscriptions via Apple App Store and RevenueCat
• To send push notifications (friend nudges, reminders, updates)
• To track your progress and calculate streaks, levels, and statistics
• To sync your data across devices
• To improve the App and develop new features

We do NOT sell your data to third parties. We do NOT use your data for advertising.

4. Data Sharing & Visibility

4.1 Coaches & Team Administrators

When you join a team, your coach or team administrator can see the following effort-level data:

• Training hours and session counts
• Current streak and longest streak
• Days won (daily check-in status)
• Last active date

Coaches cannot see:

• Personal reflections or journal entries
• Personal goals and goal details
• Morning and evening routine specifics
• Discipline rules
• Vision board content
• Private notes of any kind

4.2 Friends

Friends on the platform can see your public profile (display name, username, photo, level, streak, points), a 14-day activity calendar, routine titles and completion status, and quick stats. Friends cannot see your goals, discipline rules, detailed workout data, or reading sessions.

4.3 Parents & Helpers

If you invite a parent or helper through the Helper Dashboard, they can see summary-level progress data. They cannot see private reflections, goals, or journal content.

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect the safety of our users, or protect our rights.

5. Data Protection for Minors

YOU.PRJCT serves users aged 13–18. We take the following measures to protect minor users:

• We comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) guidelines.
• Users must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
• We do not sell any user data, regardless of age.
• We do not serve advertising or use data for behavioral profiling.
• Social features include moderation and content filtering.
• Coach visibility is limited to effort data only — private content is never exposed.

Parents or guardians can contact us at any time to review their child's data, request corrections, or request deletion of their child's account and all associated data.

6. Data Storage & Security

• Cloud storage: Supabase (PostgreSQL with Row Level Security), hosted on AWS.
• Local storage: AsyncStorage on your device for offline access and performance.
• Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.
• Access control: Row Level Security policies restrict data access based on authentication and relationships.
• Content moderation: User-generated content is subject to profanity filtering.

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

• Access: You can view all your data within the App at any time.
• Correct: You can update your profile information, display name, username, and photo directly in the App.
• Delete: You can request complete account deletion by contacting us. All associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
• Export: You can request a copy of your data by contacting us.
• Notifications: You can disable push notifications through your device settings at any time.
• Block: You can block other users to prevent them from viewing your profile or sending nudges.

8. Cookies & Tracking

The YOU.PRJCT website (youprjct.com) may use cookies for basic functionality and analytics. The mobile App does not use cookies.

We use standard analytics to understand usage patterns and improve the App. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or behavioral profiling tools.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify users through the App or via email. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
